Corey Pane is an artist from Connecticut, USA. He has always been interested in art and the creative side of life since he was a child. He was always drawing as a kid, and as he grew up, he stopped for a while to try to get into other things like music, playing guitar or drums. Always keeping drawing and visual arts on the back burner, he abruptly moved back to drawing again. “Like any artist, it is just something inside me that I need to get out, no matter what kind of creative form that involves, whether it be visual art, music, film, poetry, etc.” he explains. He thinks it is good for any artist to switch there creative drive towards a different art form every once in a while and broaden your artistic range. He likes to spread himself out and not get trapped in one spot, being labeled as a certain type of artist. Corey views his work as being more abstract and expressive in its technique, even though it may not always look that way. His main focus is not to achieve photo-realism, but to show expression and to tell a story that evokes a certain emotion or feeling. Corey attacks his paintings with a very quick approach. Most of his paintings come together spontaneously and automatically. Corey has a certain direction or idea he sets out to capture, but likes to let his paintings work and create themselves at the same time, while he helps to guide them in certain directions. Letting it come together how ever it may be meant to happen.
He is always interested in meeting new people and making connections. Corey enjoys trying his hand at many different types of art and using numerous mediums. His first love and natural gift is to express himself through painting. He gets inspiration from all over the place, but most of it comes from film. Corey has been working on some film projects of his own which you can check out at; http://www.youtube.com/idlewildecreations

“I love film as an art form and to see different stories unfold. The same goes for music and books, actually I just love stories now matter where they come from. That is what I try to do in my own work as an artist I like to tell stories. It could be an issue in the world or a more personal story, and maybe those stories can change or be seen different by different people, but I try to get at least one main point across, that hopefully everyone can recognize.”

"Also I just love to paint portraits, and bring them all to life in a different way, that is specific to the person and all of their different expressions and emotions," he explains.

Music also plays a big part in Corey's life, “I have always thought music is the most true and pure art form there is. For me it evokes a feeling like nothing else in the world.” he explains. He has been fortunate enough to be able to create art for musicians such as State Radio, ReadNex Poetry Squad, Saba Saba and the Bataka Squad, Self Suffice (the RapOet), and Wanlov The Kubolor.
He has also done art for many organizations and foundations to help raise money and support causes he believes in fighting for. He would like to continue this type of work along with whatever other interesting opportunities may arise.

Corey is constantly trying to learn and absorb as much information and knowledge as he can, whether it be though books, music, sports, film, or whatever else he comes across and apply that to his art.
